Rules & Regulations
• The rink is open 10am to 9pm daily. The last sessions starts at 8pm.
• Sessions begin on the hour with a 15 minute safety briefing and shoe changing. If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you, however you will forfeit time on the ice.
• We advise that you arrive 30 minutes before your booked skating time.
• Socks and gloves MUST be worn. Do not wear long coats, long scarves or dangly jewellery.
• Children under 8 must be accompanied by a skating adult and we advise the following ratios for schools and community groups:-
- 2 members of staff/parent to every 6 children aged 7 or under
- 2 members of staff/parent to every 10 children aged 8 or over
- 2 members of staff/parent to every 4 children with moderate learning difficulties or moderate behavioural problems
- 1 to 1 supervision is expected for children with severe learning difficulties or severe behavioural problems.
• Depending on your schedule of activities for the day and on the weather at the time, it may be advisable for children to bring a complete change of bottom half.
• Please skate in a clockwise direction around the ice. Do not skate across the ice. Do not go back against the flow of skaters.
• No smoking, alcohol, food or drink within the rink site. Do not use mobile phones / cameras on the ice. Please place any rubbish in the bins provided.
• If anyone has any medical condition that may be affected by skating, please advise the skate collection team know.
• Ice skates must be worn only on rubber matted areas or on the ice.
• Please do not sit or climb over the ice rink barriers.
• If you notice any dangerous behaviour or someone not complying with rink rules, notify a ring steward immediately.
• Abusive or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate exclusion from the rink
• If you are hurt or see anyone injured, notify a steward immediately.
• A First Aid station is located in the rink marquees.
• Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable; in exceptional circumstance and at the sole discretion of the Management, the rink may need to be closed. In this event, everything will be done to rearrange another convenient session for skating.
• On entering the Ice Rink you consent to any photography, filming, or recording authorised or arranged by us for promotional purposes. Should you be on the Ice Rink at the time we shall use reasonable endeavours to inform you that such photography, filming, or recording is to take place.
• Rink staff are provided for your safety and you must follow their instructions at all times.
• All users of the Ice Rink skate at their own risk.
• Items left at the skate counter are left at the owner’s risk.
Top Tips
• If you fall, try to fall forwards. Bring your hands off the ice. To get up, bring one leg up, both hands on your knee to push yourself up. Do not crawl to the side barriers. If you can not get up – alert a rink steward.
• Be aware of your limits and do not exceed them. If you need help – ask a steward.
• Please wear warm clothing. Socks and gloves must be worn.
• Ensure that your skate laces or clips are tight and the boot is offering good support to your ankle.
• Do not take off your shoes until you get to the skate counter. Do not put your skates on until you reach your seat.

Base Line Promotions carries insurance to a limit of £5,000,000 for Public Liability against claims made against them for negligence that may arise out of the operation of the rink and associated activities with QBE International under policy number CL/HOWEA1/04/39886.
